The Good Soil- Part 2

The Word of God is like a mirror. It shows us exactly who we really are — the condition of our soil, the state of our hearts. And it doesn’t lie.

In the final message of the Parable of the 4 Soils series, Pastor Jimmy takes us deeper into the Good Soil heart — the only heart that produces a real, lasting, luscious harvest for the Kingdom of God.

Following Jesus is a narrow road. There is no half in, half out. No mixing Good Soil with Thorny Soil and expecting fruit. It is all in or nothing — a deliberate, premeditated, intentional pursuit of God above everything else.

The Good Soil heart puts God first. Always. Not when it’s convenient. Not when life is going well. Always. Nothing gets in the way — not terminal illness, not financial stress, not a broken relationship, not death itself. Because the Good Soil person knows that God is Lord over ALL things and trusts Him completely.

This is the heart that:

— Changes the atmosphere when it walks into a room

— Lives in joy and blessing and peace that doesn’t make sense

— Produces fruit that is obvious and contagious

— Bears fruit with perseverance — not perfection, but perseverance

— Is sold out, all in, dead to self and alive to Christ

Hard, rocky, and thorny soil CAN become Good Soil. With help. With intention. With daily sifting — removing the bitterness, the resentments, the unforgiveness, the junk — and making room for the Word to grow.
